50067 - Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP)

Summary


Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Learning SolutionsThe goal of this 1-day, instructor-led MDOP class is to enable information technology workers to understand the technical aspects of MDOP to improve the desktop computing environment.  On completion of the course, the student will have an understanding of all of the components of MDOP with the exception of Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization and will have hands-on experience using the different components of MDOP.  The main focus of the course is on the concepts and usage of Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset, Advanced Group Policy Management, System Center Desktop Error Monitoring, and Microsoft Asset Inventory Service. 


Audience Profile


The general audience for this course will generally be any information technology worker focusing on Desktop Configuration, which could include Network Administrators, SMS Administrators, Field Consultants, Technical Business Consultants, and any other technical worker that is responsible for the types of tasks that can be automated or improved through MDOP.

Module 5: Asset Inventory Service (AIS)This module explains how to implement and utilize Asset Inventory Service in a production environment.  The topics covered will be an instructor presentation explaining position of AIS in the enterprise environment, the technology components in the hosted environment, and the process for implementing AIS.
